Economical: serious or data collector? You have to know that
On the Sparmobil.net website you will find numerous current smartphones with attractive mobile phone tariffs. In this practical tip, we will tell you how serious the offer really is.
Update: Sparmobil unmasked as a dubious provider
The Sparmobil website is no longer accessible. The provider of smartphone tariffs, previously considered dubious, has withdrawn from the Internet.
- If you have already signed a contract for Sparmobil, you should contact the relevant mobile operator immediately and contest your contract. With us you will find the necessary contact details for customer service from Vodafone, Telekom and O2.
- You can also file a complaint with the police about fraud. Take all available contract documents with you to the police.

Is Sparmobil reputable? Beware of data theft!
On Facebook, Sparmobil attracts many customers with an unbeatable offer: 6 GB + Allnet Flat for 9.99 euros - that's extremely cheap. But who is behind Sparmobil and how good is the offer really?
- The Sparmobil.net website has already been reported to several consumer protection centers. Sparmobil offers you several SIM cards and smartphones at affordable prices.
- Already in the imprint it is clear that things are not right. Both the VAT ID and the commercial register number are missing. A phone number is also not available. If you have any problems, there is no direct contact person and only an email address. Up until a few months ago, the website even tried to falsify the Trusted Shops seal.
- If you conclude a mobile phone contract on the website, several sensitive data will be requested. In addition to your bank details, you should also provide data from your ID card and your EC card. The printed contract should then be sent to Sparmobil with a copy of the ID card and bank card by post or WhatsApp.
- This is problematic in many ways: Under German law, you may not copy your passport and pass the copies on. The large amount of data from the EC card and your passport / ID card are also an invitation for fraudsters.
- The contract is also opaque: you are presented with a blank contract that you should sign. Neither a specific tariff, deadlines or other characteristics are specified here. So you don't know what you're signing.
Bargains at Sparmobil? This is how the model works
- Sparmobil procures contracts from or to many large providers - from Vodafone to O2 and Telekom. The tariffs seem particularly cheap, as does the aforementioned 6GB tariff with Allnet Flat: But you have to pay the full price to the provider and later receive a credit from Sparmobil for the overpaid amount.
- Example: With the tariff for 9.99 euros / month, Vodafone charges 42.99 euros per month and Sparmobil reimburses you 33 euros a few days later. Arithmetically, this results in a monthly price of 9.99 euros.
- The problem: If the Sparmobil goes bankrupt, you will no longer receive 33 euros. However, you still have to pay 42.99 euros.
Conclusion for savings: Dubious provider
- We can only advise you against buying on Sparmobil.net. When making a purchase, you send, among other things, your bank and ID details to a non-existent company. Your data can be misused for online purchases, among other things, the desired cell phone never arrives.
