Speedport: change DNS server - how it works
If you want to use a special DNS server, you can change the respective address at any time in the Speedport. We'll show you how it's done.
Change DNS server on the Speedport
- Open the Speedport web interface and log in with your password.
- Go to the "Internet" category and select the "Internet connection" there.
- Under the item "DSL access data" change the provider from "Telekom" to "other provider".
- Tip: Take a screenshot of the login data shown beforehand.
- Then activate the "Fixed DNS server addresses" option.
- Enter the primary and secondary address of the desired DNS server here. For Google's DNS server, the addresses are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
- A user name is also required. This consists of the connection identifier (X), the access number (Y), followed by 0001 and @ t-online.de. Your full username must be in the following format:
- Click the "Save" button to change the DNS server in the speed port.
