Update Speedport Hybrid: This is how the update works
Telekom's Speedport Hybrid bundles the data rate of your DSL connection with the mobile network. We show you how to use the update function of the device so that you can keep the firmware up to date.
Speedport Hybrid: Update firmware
There are basically two ways of updating the firmware:
- In both cases you have to open the configuration interface of the router via the browser. You can reach this via the address //speedport.ip. Alternatively, you can also use the IP address 192.168.2.1. You may need to authenticate yourself with a username and password.
- Now select the "Settings" tab at the top right as in the screenshot and click on "Firmware Update" on the left.
- You now have the choice between an automatic and a manual update. We recommend the automatic variant. To do this, click on "Check update".
- If a more recent version than the currently installed version is found, a message appears and you can click on "Install". The router restarts itself after the update. Under no circumstances disconnect the power connection during this time, otherwise the device may be damaged.
- Tip: If you activate the "Easy Support" function in the menu of the same name on the left, the current firmware will always be imported for you automatically.
- Alternatively, you can also obtain the firmware from the Telekom website and install it manually using the menu below.
