Speedport Hybrid: These repeaters work with the router
If you want to buy a repeater for your Speedport Hybrid, you are spoiled for choice. We show you which devices are compatible.
Repeater for the Speedport Hybrid: which one can I take?
- As a rule, every repeater is compatible with every router. The repeater receives the WLAN signal from the router and sends it out again with a gain. This increases the range of your WLAN.
- If routers and repeaters come from the same manufacturer, in some cases this only simplifies the one-time setup. Deutsche Telekom's only repeater, the Speedport W100 Repeater, is no longer produced. So you have to use a repeater from other manufacturers if it is no longer available online. At the moment there are still a few copies left.
Speedport Hybrid: Select alternative repeaters
- Regardless of whether Netgear, AVM, Devolo, D-Link or TP-Link, almost all repeaters perform well. In the following CHIP test you will find out which repeaters are really good for you.
- A basic distinction is made between repeaters with and without a LAN connection. Models with a LAN connection are sometimes a few euros more expensive, but offer a decisive advantage: via a LAN connection, you get the full signal and not an already weakened signal at the repeater location. With a LAN connection, you can also set up the repeater where no WLAN signal is currently available.
