Firmware update for Speedport Smart 3 - how it works
If you want to update your Speedport Smart 3 to the latest firmware version, you can do this in just a few steps.
- First open your router's configuration page. To do this, enter "//speedport.ip" or "//192.168.2.1" in the address line of your browser.
- Now log in with the router password (device password). Unless you have changed it, you will find this on the back of your Speedport.
- In the next step click on "Settings" (picture: point 1) and then on "Firmware Update" (picture: point 2).
- Using the "Check for update" button (image: point 3), the device searches for firmware updates and installs them.
- Your router will now automatically restart, and the power supply must not be interrupted during this time.
