Speedport Smart: Fix WLAN problems
The Speedport Smart is a WLAN router from Telekom, with which you are well equipped for streaming, IP telephony and more. If you still have problems, there are several ways to correct a malfunction.
Speedport WLAN problems: Check error messages
The Speedport Smart can also cause problems that hinder the flow of data in your network. If you suddenly have very slow Internet or cannot connect to the Internet at all, first check whether your Speedport reports an error. Check which of the lights on the front light up and which are not.
- If the status LED lights up green, there seems to be no problem at the speed port. The problem could be with your connected device. Check if the WiFi problem occurs on every device on the network, or only on one device.
- If one of the other LEDs does not light up, check all cables that are connected to the Speedport.
- If the status LED flashes red, then this is a device error. Try the steps in the next section to resolve the issues.
- If nothing helped, contact Telekom. There you can check your router and your line for errors.
