Set up and configure the Speedport W 925V - how it works
This practical tip shows you how to set up the Speedport W 925V.
Connect Speedport W 925V
First use the gray DSL cable to connect the Speedport's DSL socket to the F socket of your telephone socket.
- If you have a fiber optic connection, you must connect the LAN port of the Speedport to the fiber optic modem using the blue cable.
- Connect the yellow ports of the Speedport to the corresponding end devices with ordinary LAN cables. There are also two TAE sockets for your telephones.
- Finally, use the power cord to connect the Speedport to an electrical outlet.
Set up Speedport W 925V - how it works
First you have to set up the Speedport with a PC or smartphone. To do this, first connect your PC to the Speedport using a LAN cable or connect your device directly via WLAN. The WLAN key is usually on the back of the device or in the operating instructions.
- Now start a browser of your choice and enter "speedport.ip" in the address bar. First, you will be asked to enter the device password. You can find this in the router passport or on the bottom of the device.
- Now you are asked to enter your telecom number and your password. This can be found in the information provided by the provider. The Speedport guides you step by step through the setup.
- If you do not have a telecommunications connection, simply click on "Cancel". Now you land on the home page. Click on "Standard View" on the right side under "View" and then switch to expert mode. Then click on the Internet tab and on the "Connect" button and enter the provider's data.
