Create save as button in Word - how it works
With Word there is only one save button by default, a "save as" button is missing. However, you can retrofit it with little effort. We'll show you how it works.
Word: Retrofit the "Save as" button
Documents can be copied quickly and easily by saving them under a new name. This is even faster with a "Save as" button:
- In Word, click the small arrow in the bar on the top right next to the save symbol.
- On the Mac, check "Save As". For Windows click on "More commands ...".
- In the new window, select the "Save As" entry in the list on the left and click "Add".
- Confirm with OK". There is now a corresponding button in the bar next to the save button.
