Send bulky goods: What is considered bulky goods?
- Almost anything that does not have a common shape is considered bulky goods. This includes both very large and very heavy packages and rolls. Round or rounded packages, as well as packages with protruding parts, are also considered bulky goods.
- You can send bulky goods with almost any transport service provider. Both the prices and the criteria for bulky goods differ greatly from the respective providers. In the next paragraph you will find an overview of the providers who provide general information on the transport of bulky goods.
Sending bulky goods: Overview of providers
- DHL charges a surcharge of EUR 22.50 for bulky goods. This is calculated on the usual price of the package class. Rolls and square objects may have a maximum length of up to 200 centimeters.
- Bulky goods can also be shipped from Hermes. The surcharge for the respective package class is only € 9.39. But that your bulky goods only reach a maximum height of 120 centimeters.
