Spintires: The best tips for off-road truck simulation
Spintires for PC was released on June 13, 2014, which is why we are introducing you to the best tips for off-road truck simulation with this practical tip.
Spintires tip 1: plan the best route
You may have had the opportunity to try out a few tricks in advance in our Spintires trial. With Spintires, you should always consider in advance which route you choose to move your vehicle to your destination.
- At this point, tactics are particularly important, because the routes couldn't be more different. Sometimes you will find a route that better suits you and your vehicle. You should therefore pay attention to this in advance.
- If you have not viewed the map correctly, you should do so at the latest when you are lying down with the vehicle. You can also redefine the route and start the game again this way.
Spintires Tip 2: Pay attention to your fuel needs
Of course, the fuel gauge should not be forgotten in a lifelike vehicle simulation. For this reason, you should note the following in particular:
- Keep an eye on your fuel gauge and check regularly to see if you can manage the intended route.
- If this is not the case, make sure that you can refuel or choose another route, which may be faster to complete.
Spintires tip 3: equip the vehicle properly
At the beginning you can align your vehicle individually. We show you what you should pay particular attention to:
- First of all, it is important to coordinate the route and the vehicle. If you drive through muddy and hilly landscapes, for example, it may be worthwhile to put chains on the tires. Pay attention to such subtleties, otherwise you will quickly find yourself lying on the open road with your vehicle.
- If you have not been able to assess the route too well in advance or have misused your vehicle's equipment, you can also return to the workshop during the game. At this point the vehicle can be tailored to your needs and then you can start right away.
Spintires Tip 4: Get help from friends
Spintires is available in both single and multiplayer modes. If you get stuck, the multiplayer mode can be worth gold:
- For example, if you should stay on the track with the vehicle and really see no way out because you have already taken all tips to heart, then other players can help you. For example, if you fall off a bridge with your vehicle or get stuck in the mud, your teammate can position yourself behind your vehicle and pull out a tow rope. This will then be attached to your vehicle. The other player then pulls your vehicle out of the dirt, after which you should be able to continue driving yourself.
- Don't be afraid to approach friends, but this only works in multiplayer mode. However, remember to help your friends in the game if they get stuck with the vehicle. This is the only way to show the social character of off-road truck simulation.
Game tip: In addition to this simulation, there are numerous other games of this type. In another practical tip, we will tell you, for example, where you can download the bus simulator.
