- Sweating and the fabric of sweaty clothes, especially if there is friction on the tattooed skin area, are also counterproductive for the healing of your tattoo.
- The strong color is also spared if you do without sport, as there is a risk that the color will be pressed out, especially with tattoos in the joint areas, if you move immediately after the stinging.
After the tattoo: what you should consider when you do sports again
Even if you are allowed to do sport again some time after the stinging, you should pay attention to some things in addition to correct care of the tattoo and slowly start to exercise again.
- Also, take care to protect the affected part of the body from sweat or rubbing some time after the stinging of your tattoo and wait until the crust falls off on its own to prevent unsightly changes to the body art.
- Through targeted muscle building, the skin can even warp ugly, stretch marks can occur. Overall, you should therefore pay attention to where your new tattoo is located and avoid training in this particular area of the body.
- Swimming or contact sports such as football should be avoided for longer than one to two weeks after the tattoo, here times of six weeks are advisable. The risk of bacteria and dirt and subsequent wound infections is increased in these sports.
