Spotify: Clear cache - so you make space
If you clear the cache at Spotify, you will immediately have more storage space available. We explain in this manual how exactly you delete the cache.
Clear cache at Spotify - in 3 steps
- You cannot clear the cache in the Spotify application. On the other hand, open Explorer.
- Then navigate to "C: \ Users \ Username \ AppData \ Local \ Spotify \ Storage". If you have changed the path in the Spotify settings, call it up now.
- Finally, delete all files that are in this folder. In this practical tip, we explain the advantages of clearing the cache.
Spotify: Clear cache in the app
- Open the settings in the Spotify app and select "Clear cache and saved files" under "Other".
- Alternatively, you can also open the "Settings" of your smartphone and empty the cache under "Apps"> "Spotify"> "Settings"> "Applications"> "Manage applications".
- There you will find the entry "Clear cache". With some versions of Android also "Storage"> "Clear cache".
Spotify cache cleared: what are the consequences?
- Deleting all contents of the "Storage" folder will not permanently delete any functions or songs.
- Only users of a premium account have to re-download songs for offline listening.
