Spotify: Create your own radio stations - how it works
In Spotify, you can create as many of your own radio stations that play your favorite music. In this guide, you will learn how to set up your own radio station step by step in Spotify.
Instructions: Create radio stations in Spotify
Your personal radio station on Spotify is based on a song, playlist, album or artist you choose. Follow the steps below to set up the transmitter.
- Start Spotify and log in with your access data.
- Click on the "Radio" option in the left column and select the "Create new station" option at the top.
- Type a song, artist, album, or playlist in the search field and press Enter to confirm your selection.
- If you followed the instructions, Spotify will create your personal radio station. Alternatively, right-click on a song title in your library and select "Go to Song Radio" to create a radio station from it.
- In this way, you can set up any number of your own radio stations. The more you use a radio station and rate the songs played, the more Spotify tries to adapt the radio station to your taste in music.
Spotify: Set up radio stations on smartphone and tablet
You can also add your own Spotify radio station on your iPhone, iPad and Android device. The procedure is the same for all apps:
- First start Spotify on your smartphone or tablet and log in.
- In the bar at the bottom of the screen, tap the "Radio" entry.
- Then tap on the radio wave symbol at the top right and enter the desired song or album title, artist or playlist name.
All radio stations you have created are saved on your Spotifiy account and can be called up from any device. In another practical tip, we explain how you can save a Spotify radio as a playlist.
