Spotify: create a shared playlist - how it works
Listening to music together is even more fun. That's why Spotify lets you create shared playlists that other users can listen to and edit. This practical tip shows how you can use the feature on your PC and smartphone.
Create a shared playlist in Spotify
A common Spotify playlist is nothing more than a normal playlist that you have shared separately with your friends. Therefore, you should first create a playlist of your favorite songs. Then publish the playlist differently depending on the device.
- PC: In the desktop version of Spotify you will find all your playlists in the left column. Right-click on the desired playlist there and select "Shared Playlist".
- Browser and apps: Open the menu on all other devices and tap on "Your music". Then select the entry "Playlists" and the desired playlist. At the top right, tap the icon with the three dots and choose the option "Share as 'Together'".
- All your friends have to do is enter the name of your playlist in Spotify and follow it. Alternatively, tap the "Share" entry in the playlist menu and send the exact link to your friends.
