You can create folders to keep track of many Spotify playlists. So your playlists can be sorted on the PC as well as on the smartphone and tablet in a practical way.
Spotify on PC: create folder
The fastest way to create new playlists folders is via the Spotify client on the PC. The following instructions currently do not work via the web browser. You will not see your created folders here either. Should this change, you will of course find out in this article.
- Start Spotify on Windows or MacOS and scroll to the "Playlists" section in the left column.
- Then right-click on any playlist.
- In the context menu you decide on the entry "Create folder" and type in the desired name.
- With [Enter] you finally create the folder. You can then drag and drop your playlists into the new folder.

You can use the folders in the Spotify apps for Android and iOS, but no new ones can currently be created. Here's how to use the folders:
- Open Spotify on your smartphone or tablet and tap "Library" in the lower right corner.
- Then tap on the entry "Playlists".
- Here you can see all of your playlists and folders. Tap a folder to open it.
- However, more cannot currently be done with the app. As soon as you can create new folders via this or at least edit existing folders, you will read it in this article.
