With Spotify you can delete your own playlists when you no longer need them. You have to do this differently depending on the device. We show you where you can find the necessary option in the desktop program, on the website and in the Spotify smartphone apps.
Delete Spotify playlist in the browser
If you use Spotify with Firefox or Chrome, you get all the functions that the desktop and app versions offer. Of course, you can also delete individual playlists:
- Open the Spotify website in your browser and log in with your account data.
- In the left column click on the entry "My Music". A list of your personal playlists will appear.
- Right-click on the desired playlist and select the "Delete" option.
- If you did not create the playlist yourself, but only subscribed to it, click on "Stop following".

In the Spotify desktop client, proceed similarly:
- Start Spotify, you will find the section "Playlists" in the left column.
- Find the desired playlist here and right-click on the entry.
- Finally, choose "Delete" or "Stop following" to remove the playlist.
Spotify apps: remove playlists
Whether on Android or iOS - you can also delete your playlists in the Spotify app:
- Open the app and tap the icon with the three horizontal lines in the top left.
- The main menu opens. Here you select the entry "Library".
- Then navigate to the "Playlists" folder.
- Find the playlist you want on your Android device and tap the three dots next to the name. On iOS, tap "Edit" in the top right corner.
- In the menu under Android select the option "Delete playlist" or "Stop following playlist". iOS users tap the red minus symbol next to the playlist and confirm with "Remove" or "Stop following".
