Your Spotify playlists are gone: possible causes
There are many different reasons why playlists can disappear on Spotify. And accordingly different solutions.
- Is it the server? If you cannot load your playlists after an update, this may be due to a server failure at Spotify. To find out when the issues are fixed and the playlists are available again, follow this Twitter news from Spotify.
- Full memory? Sometimes downloaded songs will disappear from your mobile device if the memory becomes too small. You need about 1 to 1.5 GB for "Spotify" to work properly.
- 3 devices limit? In "Spotify" Premium you can only link three devices to one account. No matter whether you are online with all or several devices. Or whether they still exist. If in doubt, contact the customer service to delete a device. Otherwise there is a risk of malfunctions.
- Deleted somewhere else? If you use a Spotify account with multiple devices, a deletion made on your smartphone may also remove the same playlist on your tablet. Because the data are synchronized with each other.
- Duplicate account? Sometimes the login is confusing, so that a second account is accidentally created, which then does not have the playlists. Simply log out again and log in with the information and the user name of the original account. If necessary, delete the Facebook connection for the new account. You can find them in 'Preferences'> 'Social Networks'.
