Change standard programs under Ubuntu - this is how you proceed
Ubuntu specifies standard programs for certain file types - if you want to change them, open the system settings via the small gear in the task bar.
- In the "System" section you will find general information about your system under "Information".
- Select "Default programs" on the left.
- Now change the standard programs for the individual file types.
- If Ubuntu shows no alternatives, first install the desired program via the software center.
- Now close the settings, the operating system will now automatically open the right software according to your specifications.
