Set the default font in Microsoft Excel - Here's how
Instead of "Times New Roman" you can set a different standard font in Excel. We'll show you how it works in just a few simple steps.
How to set a default font in Excel
- Open a new Excel document and select the "Options" under "File".
- Here you will find the section "When creating new workbooks" in the "General" tab.
- You can set a default font in the "Use the following font" field.
The tip is based on Excel 2010. In Excel 2007 you will find the settings under the Office button> "Options"> "Frequently used". You can find more tips and tricks on our Excel topic page.
