How to set a default font in OpenOffice Writer
- Open a new document in OpenOffice and click on the "Tools" menu.
- Here you select the "Settings".
- In the Writer sub-menu you will find the "Basic Western Fonts" in fifth place.
- Here you can select a standard font and then confirm the change with "Ok".
The instructions are based on OpenOffice.org 4.0.1. Under OpenOffice 3.4 you will find the font settings under "Tools"> "Options"> "OpenOfficeWriter"> "Basic Fonts".
