• If you dig up the soil at your farm before planting seeds, you will sometimes find clay.
• There are also some areas with earth in the mines. You can dig them up with the hoe to get clay.
• You will also find geodes in the mines. The blacksmith can open these for you. Clay is also often found in these geodes.
• Sometimes worms also drop clay when you pick them with the pickaxe.

Stardew Valley: Clay crafting recipes

• With 10 clay, 100 gold, 100 stone and 5 copper bar you can craft a silo. You can then store hay in it.
• With 30 wood, 1 clay, 1 copper bar, 1 iron bar and 1 oak resin (from farming level 8) you can craft a keg. You can use this to process plants by hand.
• For a Quality Retaining Soil you need 3 stone and 1 clay (from farming level 7). This ensures that the soil remains watered.
