For the game Stardew Valley you can install many mods that make the game even more extensive. In this practical tip, we will show you how.
Install mods in Stardew Valley - so it'll work
To install mods into the Stardew Valley, you first have to copy the mod installer into the directory.
- By default, Stardew Valley is installed under Windows in the path "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Stardew Valley".
- Download the mod installer from this address and unzip all files into the Stardew Valley directory.
- Download a mod. Then copy the files from the downloaded .zip or .rar archive into the newly inserted "Mods" folder.
- When you start the game, all installed mods are available.
Stardew Valley: Change the look with mods
Many mods for Stardew Valley change textures in the game world. To install this type of modification, you have to do it differently.
- Download the mod you want to install.
- If the mod should exchange textures, you have to replace them in the program directory specified above.
- To do this, look for the file from the program folder that has the same name as the mod file. For example "dog.xnb". Make a backup copy of the original file and then replace it with the mod file.
- The textures will be exchanged the next time the game is started.
