Staxel: The best tips and tricks
If you want to become an efficient farmer in Staxel, you cannot avoid certain tips and tricks. The game is still under development, but it can already seem overwhelming due to the abundance of features. For a good start with your farm, we have therefore summarized the most important tips for beginners.
Everything to use: The most important beginners' tips for Staxel
- Play through the Staxel tutorial first, even if you'd rather explore the city and farm yourself. The tutorial will show you how to craft objects, how to handle animals, how to plant something and how to build a stable. You will also receive numerous items and tools free of charge.
- Hold objects in your hand or see objects in the game world, watch the bottom right screen. Interaction options such as "chatting" and "dragging" are displayed here with the right or left mouse button. You will also see the inventory bar in the lower right corner.
- To place items such as furniture, animal boxes and seeds, look at the block on which you want to place the item and hold down the left mouse button. Then move the mouse wheel to rotate the item to the desired position.
- Hold down the left mouse button when holding a tool such as a hammer or watering can. This will load the tool and allow you to edit a larger area with one application. This saves a lot of time on a larger farm.
- Staxel is in early access - if something doesn't work properly, it may be a previously undetected bug. Don't let that unsettle you if you like the game. The bug will be removed soon.
Tricks for your successful farm in Staxel
The first thing for you is to collect some money and items to clean up your farm and expand it according to your wishes.
- So record everything you find on the way: flowers, shells, acorns - on the way you can collect almost all items by hand. On the other hand, you need special tools for stones, wood and insects. You should sell what you do not need yourself, for example to be able to afford animal feed and new seeds. A great place to collect is the beach, where you'll find scattered shells and more. "Star Jelly", which you can find on trees, also brings you a considerable sum.
- Visit the market stalls in the city. There you will find small orange boxes with "Sell" on it. Pick up an item you want to sell and right-click on the sell block. Then target the sell block and click the right mouse button again to get money.
- In addition to money, you also need seeds as the basis for your fields: when you use your scythe to cut grass and flowers, you sometimes get seeds that you can plant. So you do not have to buy seeds and can earn extra money through farm work.
- At the beginning, focus on something that you enjoy. For example, keep animals, plant many different seeds, craft many items or breed bees. You can then sell the income from this and then expand your farm with the new money.
- Ultimately, there is no right tactic at Staxel, you just have to be patient. A successful farm takes time.
