Steam Level Up: How to increase your account level
Each Steam account is provided with a level indicator. In this practical tip, we will explain how you can get enough experience for level-up.
Steam: Here you will find your account level
- Log in to your Steam account online.
- Move the mouse over your username and select "Badge".
- There you can see your level, your level of experience (XP) and remaining XP up to the next level. You'll also see the outstanding badges you need to level up there.
Level Up: Increase Steam level through achievements
In addition to the badges, you also receive experience points for certain "achievements":
- Years of service: Earn XP points for Steam membership each year.
- Game collection: You will also receive points for increasing your game collection.
- Events: You will also receive badges when you buy a game in a steam sale or take part in community actions.
- There are many other badges, but these badges are limited. If you want to actively increase your account level, you have to use trading cards.
Level Up: Increase Steam account level with trading cards
You can get trading cards from the Steam games themselves. You can collect them to earn badges and earn XP points:
- As described above, you will find your account level in the "Badges" menu item. There you can also see which badges are still incomplete.
- Click on a badge to see which trading cards are still missing.
- You can buy these trading cards at the trading card market.
- When you have all the cards for the badge, you will receive XP points and the badge symbol, which you can display in your profile.
