Selling Steam Trading Cards - The Best Tips
If you don't collect the Steam trading cards, you can sell them. For this you will receive some Steam credit that you can use to buy games.
Tips for selling Steam trading cards
These tips not only make selling trading cards easy, you also get a slightly better price.
- First you have to activate the Steam Guard. To do this, click on "Manage Steam Guard Account Security ..." in the Steam Settings under "Account" and activate the Steam Guard.
- Select the card you want to sell from your inventory. Then click on "Sell" in the overview on the right. Use the graph as a guide for the sales price.
- Take the last registered price in the graph and increase the price by one or two cents. You must then enter this amount under "The buyer pays:".
- Because Steam lets a small contribution flow into your own cash register, you don't get the full price when the card is sold.
- Most of the time, the trading cards are relatively expensive shortly after the game release and then become cheaper and cheaper until you have reached a certain price level.
- So sell the cards as early as possible and don't leave them in inventory to wait for a better price.
- Click on "Community" and then on "Market" to see your currently active offers. Check them regularly.
- If a card is not sold for a longer period of time, you should correct the price downwards.
