Steam: create and upload screenshots
Here we explain how you can take screenshots of your games in Steam and then upload them to the Steam cloud.
Create and upload screenshots in Steam
- By default, you can take screenshots in Steam games using the F12 key. Another key can also be set under Steam → Settings → In-game → Screenshot key combination.
- If you would like to upload the screenshots while the game is still running, press the Shift + Tab key combination to display the Steam overlay. Then open the screenshot uploader by clicking on "Show screenshots".
- You can also access the screenshot uploader by clicking on "Display" in the Steam menu bar and then on "Screenshots".
- In the upper area of the screenshot uploader you can select the desired game. Then mark the preview images in the overview that you want to upload. Then click on the "Upload" button.
- After clicking on "Upload" you can set the visibility of the pictures (public, private, friends only). Individual pictures can also be shared on Facebook.
- Before uploading, you can also add captions in the screenshot uploader or mark the images as spoilers.
- You can reach your online gallery at the link: //steamcommunity.com/id/Ihr_Steam-Name/screenshots/. Replace "your_steam name" with your name on Steam.
