Steam: Sort game library - how it works
To help you find your way around your game collection, you can sort the game library in Steam. So you can keep track of many games. We show you how it works.
Create new categories in Steam and sort games
To help you find your way around faster, you can create different categories:
- Log in to Steam and go to the "Library".
- Right click on a game to create a new category. To do this, select the "Edit categories ..." entry in the context menu.
- Enter a name for the category - for example, "My Favorite Games". Then click on the "Add Category" button. With a click on the "Ok" button, the new category appears with the game in it.
- To add more games, right-click the game again and then click "Edit Categories ...". In the upper window you will find your category "My Favorite Games". Check the box to assign the game to the category.
Find favorite games in the library even faster
You can find games even faster if you mark them as "Favorites":
- Select the game you want with a right click and click on "Add to favorites".
- If you move the mouse pointer over the "Library" tab, a menu will automatically drop down. There you will find the entry "Favorites". If you click on it, you will quickly find the games you are looking for.
