Step 1: Create a steam backup of saved games
- Start Steam and go to the main window.
- Under "Steam> Backup and restore games", select the option "Backup currently installed programs" and confirm with "Next".
- You will now see an overview of your installed programs and games. Here you can select either individual or all programs that you want to save. After you have made your selection, click "Next".
- With a multiple selection, Steam saves all programs or saves in one file. You will also see the disk space required
- Now define the path under which your backup should be saved. Usually this location is under "C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ Backups". Confirm your choice after clicking on "Next".
- Finally, you can define a name for the backup. However, we recommend that you choose the game name for it.
- You can also split the backup into several packages if you want to save the backup on a CD or DVD. When you have made your selection, create the backup by clicking on "Next".
