Steam crashes - you can do that

Steam suddenly crashes - what to do?
With the tips below, you can try to get this problem under control on Steam.
- First restart Steam. Perhaps this was a one-time crash that has no further consequences for you.
- However, if the program keeps crashing, there is probably a software problem.
- You can fix this by always installing the latest version of Steam on your PC. You can always find the latest version of Steam in our download portal.
- For the necessary additional components to work, you should check your PC regularly for updates and install them.
- Another reason why Steam crashes: it is blocked by another program.
- Therefore, you should close all programs, including your antivirus and firewall, the next time you start Steam. These practical tips will tell you how to configure exceptions for Avira, AVG Anti-Virus and Avast.
- If this tip doesn't help you either, you can still try to completely uninstall Steam and all of its files. You can find out how in the next paragraph.
Crashes under Steam - uninstall the program completely from the PC
- For this you need the free tool Revo Uninstaller. Download it and then install it on your PC.
- When the installation is complete, start the program and look for "Steam" in the list.
- After you find it, double click on the name. Select the "Moderate" uninstallation method.
- During the uninstallation, make sure that all folders and entries in the registry are also deleted. You have to select them manually and remove them with "Delete".
- After the uninstallation is complete, you should restart your PC. You can then reinstall Steam.
