Steam: Upload video - how it works
If you want to present your favorite games on Steam, you can upload videos. We'll show you how to do this.
Step 1: Upload Steam video to YouTube
You cannot upload videos to Steam itself. As a small workaround you can use the video platform YouTube:
- Open your channel page in YouTube and drag the desired videos into the upload field. If you don't have your own channel yet, we will explain in another article how to create a YouTube channel.
- Make sure that the privacy setting is set to "Public".
- Wait for the video to finish uploading. You can then embed it in Steam.
Step 2: embed YouTube videos in Steam
- Start Steam, click on your username in the top right corner and select the entry "Contents".
- Here you switch to the "Video" tab.
- Click on the "Link YouTube account" button in the top right and then on "Get YouTube videos".
- The Google website opens, where you can log in with your YouTube account.
- You will then find a list of your uploads, which you can share individually with the Steam community.
