The main sublime shortcuts
Below you will find the most important shortcuts for normal editing of text or source code in sublime.
- Use [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [D] to duplicate a line without changing the clipboard.
- Press [Ctrl] + [C] to copy an entire line to the clipboard, even if nothing is selected.
- With [Ctrl] + [Return] you can insert an empty line under the current one.
- You can also use [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Return] to insert an empty line above the current one.
- Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Arrow up] to swap one line up.
- [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [arrow down], however, swaps the line with the lower one.
Sublime shortcuts: set markers faster
Text is difficult to edit without markers. This is where you can save a lot of time with shortcuts.
- Press [Ctrl] + [D] to select an entire word.
- Use [Ctrl] + [D] + [D] and each subsequent [D] to mark all subsequent identical entries. All marked entries can then be changed at the same time.
- Use [Alt] + [F3] to mark all the same entries in the text.
- [Esc] helps you uncheck a multiple mark.

- Hold down [Ctrl] to mark several places at which you want to write. You can then start typing at the same time.
- You can easily close an open HTML tag with [Alt] + [.].
- Press [Ctrl] + [F] to start the search.
- You can also replace what you are looking for with [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [F].
- With [F9] you can sort all selected or the complete text, if nothing was selected. So mark first and then click on [F9].
Set bookmarks with sublime shortcuts
With bookmarks you set markings in the text, to which you can jump back later with a key combination.
- With [Ctrl] + [F2] you can set a bookmark exactly at the cursor position or remove a set bookmark again.
- Press [F2] to jump to the next bookmark.
- On the other hand you jump to the previous bookmark with [Shift] + [F2].
- Use [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [F2] to remove all bookmarks.
Comment with sublime shortcuts
You can also comment much faster with keyboard shortcuts.
- Press [Ctrl] + [#] to comment out a line (pressing again will undo the process).
- With [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [#] you can comment out over several lines (pressing again reverses the process again).

The most important shortcut key combinations for tabs and layouts are as follows:
- With [Alt] + [1] to [9] you can select a tab by its number.
- With [Alt] + [Shift] + [2] to [4] you can position 2 or more windows side by side.
- Press [Alt] + [Shift] + [8] to display 2 windows one below the other.
- You can return to a large window with the key combination [Alt] + [Shift] + [1].
