On the night of February 7th and 8th, the American Football Final, the so-called Superbowl, takes place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara (California). The NFC champions Carolina Panthers meet the AFC winners Denver Broncos.
- In Germany, the SAT.1 broadcaster broadcasts the American sports event at 11:15 p.m. with pre-coverage. A countdown show starts at 8:15 p.m. on Pro7 Maxx. The actual Superbowl begins at 0:30 a.m.
- However, in the past the television station disappointed with relatively monotonous commercial breaks and controversial commentators, so that some sports fans searched for alternatives on the Internet. This year, however, the commentator teams are enjoying great popularity within the community.
- Most experts see the Panthers at an advantage. The Broncos convinced especially in the playoffs with a strong defense, so hope for an exciting game.
- Beyoncé and Coldplay will appear in the halftime show this year. The price for 30 seconds of the coveted advertising break time is $ 5 million. However, this advertisement is not shown in the German broadcasts.
