Synology Cloud Station Backup - how it works
- First download and install the Cloud Station Backup tool.
- Then open the "Synology Cloud Station Backup" tool on your Windows PC to start the setup wizard.
- Continue with a click on the "Next" button and then enter the name of your PC, the IP address, the QuickConnect ID as well as the user name and the associated password for your Synology account.
- In the next step, select the location on your PC where the backup is to be saved.
- Then select the folders from your NAS that you want to back up.
- With a click on "Next" and "Finish" the wizard ends and the first backup is created.
- Tip: You can also set a schedule in the main menu of the tool when the automatic backup should be created. To do this, click on "Settings"> "Backup source" and enter the relevant data under "Data backup rules".
