Remove System32.Repair - Here's how
If you discover System32.Repair on your computer, you should remove the adware immediately. We show you how to do this.
Step 1: Uninstall System32.Repair
System32.Repair is not a virus in the actual sense, but rather so-called adware. However, this nests in the browser and changes numerous settings there, which is why you should get rid of it.
- First, look for any conspicuous programs in the Control Panel and uninstall them.
- Sort the list of installed programs according to the installation date and remove all unknown new entries. If in doubt, search for the programs on Google.

Step 2: remove System32.Repair
To remove the adware and its remains, we recommend using the following free software:
- AdwCleaner: This tool scans numerous areas of your system and removes the malicious entries.
- Junkware Removal Tool: The program works similarly to the AdwCleaner. You only need to run this tool if you want to be on the safe side.
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware: Since the actual malware may not have been removed yet or viruses may still be hiding on the system, you should also use this tool. This is an extremely reliable virus scanner.
Step 3: Clean browser from System32.Repair
Since it is not known which settings System32.Repair changes on the browser, you should reset it completely for security reasons. Perform the following instructions for all installed browsers:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Internet Explorer
Step 4: check browser link
Since the adware may also nest in the browser shortcuts, you should also take a look here:
- To do this, click with the right mouse button on the link of your browser and select the "Properties".
- Go to the "Link" tab above and click in the "Target" field.
- Entries like "C: \ ... .. \ Mozilla Firefox \ firefox.exe" shouldn't be anything else. Remove any entries and confirm the change with "OK".
