T-Online email blocked - what to do?
If T-Online has blocked your email address for no apparent reason, you are facing a major problem. We'll show you how to get out of the Telekom mess.
The reasons: This is why T-Online blocks your email account
According to Telekom, there are several reasons why your account is blocked:
- Termination of your connection: If you terminate your Telekom connection, you usually have six months to convert your email account into a free account. After this period, your address will be closed. However, Telekom blocks some addresses directly upon receipt of the notice. Unfortunately, the provider does not provide a reason for this.
- Delayed payment: If you are late with your payments, Telekom will block your account as a precaution.
- Abuse of your account: If T-Online suspects that you are carrying out illegal activities, sending spam mails or running a bot, your provider will also block your account.
T-Online mail blocked - you can do that
If you are not sure why your mail account is blocked, you should contact Telekom Support directly. This is the only way you have a very small chance of getting your data back:
- Call Support at 0800 3301000. You should have your customer and connection number ready. Unfortunately, in the test case, the employees could not see the reason for the block. You can only get real help here in rare cases. You should try it anyway.
- Alternatively, send an email to the Telekom abuse team. To do this, describe your problem, name the blocked account and send the data to " ". In the test case, we received at least some information about the blocked account. However, this team was also unable to restore data or release the address.
- If you have actually found out from the employees that your account has been closed due to a cancellation, you can at least get your email address back: Most of the support you get here is a form that you can use to convert your email address into a free account can. It is best to discuss the steps directly with the support.
- Attention: Unfortunately, the spook is not over afterwards: According to telephone support, your data such as emails or contacts can only be restored within a few days. After that, you will no longer have access to your data - even if your contract is currently still running. However, this can vary depending on the case and the reason for blocking.
