Use your tablet as a monitor: it's that easy
If you would like to use a second screen or if your current one just goes limp, you can easily use your tablet as a monitor. We show you in this practical tips how to do it.
Use your tablet as a monitor via WLAN - how it works
The easiest way to use your tablet as a monitor without the hassle of cables is via the "iDisplay" app.
- Download the around 4 euro expensive Android app "iDisplay" to your tablet and the program "iDisplay Dekstop" to your Windows or Mac PC. The process only works if both programs have been installed.
- Start both the app and the program and make sure that you are logged into the same network on both devices (PC and tablet).
- Now you can find your Android tablet unerringly and connect to the computer. For example, you can work in parallel and move windows between the two displays.
- Alternatively, the tablet can also be easily connected to the PC via USB and can then also be used as a monitor.
- In our test, the connection to a Samsung Galaxy Tab worked right away via WLAN with the PC. Only the performance left something to be desired in terms of speed.
