Synchronize TAN generator - how it works
With a TAN generator you can have a TAN generated for every transfer. This practical tip shows you how to synchronize your TAN generator.
Synchronize the TAN generator
So that you can generate a TAN for your online transfer, you have to synchronize your generator once. We show you an example of how this works at the Sparkasse. For other banks, the menu items can be named differently. The procedure is the same.
- Log in to your bank's online banking page.
- Then click on the "Online Banking" tab at the top and then on "Settings".
- Here you select the item "Synchronize TAN generator".
- Now insert your bank card in your TAN generator and press the [F] key.
- Hold your TAN generator at a 45 degree angle to your screen to scan the flashing bar code.
- With "+" and "-" you can adjust the size of the graphic.
- Wait until the TAN generator has finished scanning the barcode and then enter the displayed TAN and the counter reading of the TAN counter on the website.
- With a click on "Next" your TAN generator is synchronized.
