The current keyboard layout is called Qwertz layout and is intended to make typing easier.
- The Huckel give the arrangement of the basic position of the fingers.
- The Huckel on the F is used to orient the left hand on the keyboard.
- Because the left index finger is always in contact with the button on the F key, the other fingers can be arranged to the left of it.
- The basic position of the left hand is on the ASDF buttons.
- The hump on the J key is used to orient the right hand. The other fingers line up on the right.
- The basic position of the right hand is on the JKL keys.
- As a result, the experienced writer always has an orientation where the desired letters are located without having to look at the keyboard.
