If individual letters on your keyboard no longer work, there can be several reasons. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
Keyboard: Keys no longer work
- Check the connection: briefly remove the keyboard from the computer and then reconnect it. If the keyboard is connected via USB, use a different USB port.
- Restart: Even a restart can do little miracles under Windows. This eliminates errors in the buffer.
- Install driver: In many cases there is a driver problem. Uninstall and then reinstall the keyboard drivers. Instructions can be found in the next paragraph.
- Defect: If this does not help, there is a high probability that the keyboard is defective. You may need to replace the device.

Uninstall and reinstall the keyboard
- Press the Windows key + R at the same time so that the "Run" command opens.
- Enter the command "devmgmt.msc" and click the "OK" button. Then the Device Manager opens.
- Click on the "Keyboards" category below and select your keyboard from the list.
- Right-click the keyboard and click the "Uninstall" option.
- Confirm your project and wait for the deinstallation. You can then right-click to reinstall the keyboard.
