Teamspeak 3: Log in as server admin
If you want to log in to the Teamspeak 3 VoIP client as a server admin, this authorization must be given to you by another administrator. After setting up your own Teamspeak-3 server, you can also appoint yourself as the server admin.
Server admin rights for Teamspeak 3 on your own server
- After you have set up your own server, you will see a so-called token ID with which you can appoint yourself as the server administrator. Alternatively, you can find this token ID in the log.
- Here is an example of a possible token ID: "token = ppEa0Wp6hopKBzKhH5RiUtb5Ggve5aI8J7ifu + / P"
- Copy the token to the clipboard.
- Log in to your Teamspeak server as a normal user.
- Go to the "Permissions" menu and click on the "Use Token" sub-item. Note: You can only use each token once!
- Paste the token ID in the field and confirm. After successful application you will see an "SA" next to your name in the channel.
- The next time you log in to the same server with your user data, you will automatically be a server admin.
Become admin on other Teamspeak servers
To become a server admin with third-party servers, you need an additional administrator:
- The server admin can create a new token in the "Permissions" menu. To do this, he must click on "Add Token" in the "Token Manager" sub-item.
- In the submenu, the administrator should then select "Server Admin" under "group". After confirmation, the server creates a new token ID.
- Once you have received the token ID, you can reapply it in the "Permissions" menu (see paragraph 1).
