Teamspeak doesn't recognize microphone - what to do?
In Teamspeak you can chat with your friends on a server. But what to do if Teamspeak doesn't recognize the microphone? You can find possible solutions in this practical tip.
Teamspeak does not recognize the microphone - you can do that
There are several causes for this problem. Below we present possible solutions:
- First open the Teamspeak settings by clicking "Settings"> "Options". Select "Recording" on the left and make sure that the name of your microphone is selected under "Recording device".
- You can also select the "Standard" option here. This selects the standard device that has been defined by the system.
- Next, open the "Control Panel" on your PC and switch there to the "Sound" settings. Click here on the "Recording" tab and check whether your microphone is listed here.
- If this is not the case, make sure that you have connected it correctly and that all cables and plugs are intact.
- If you have the option, you can also try another connection.
- Do you have the latest driver for your sound card installed? You can check this in the "Control Panel" under "Device Manager" or in Windows Update.
- Your headset or microphone may also need its own driver. To do this, go to the manufacturer's website for more information.
- You can test whether the microphone works there in other applications, such as Skype. If this is not the case, there may be a defect.
