TeamViewer does not start - you can do that
With TeamViewer you can carry out remote maintenance or send files. If the program does not start, there can be various causes. Find out in this practical tip what you can do about it.
TeamViewer does not start - so you fix the error
- First try to start TeamViewer as administrator. To do this, right-click on the shortcut and select "Run as administrator".
- If this does not work either, you can try to start the program in compatibility mode.
- Always make sure that you have the latest version of TeamViewer installed. You can find these in our download area.
- Some users report problems with a Windows update. If you have installed the update "KB3097877", try to uninstall it.
- You can also try to uninstall TeamViewer using Revo Uninstaller. Select the "Advanced" option as the method and then delete the remaining files, folders and registry entries by clicking on "Mark all" and "Delete".
- In some cases it is helpful if you install an older version of TeamViewer on your PC.
