Create a phone note in Outlook - how it works
You can create a phone note in Outlook using the journal. We show you step by step how to do it.
Outlook: create phone note
The journal is mostly hidden in the newer Outlook versions, since the average user does not use the function at all. However, the journal is ideal for telephone notes:
- Start Outlook and simultaneously press the [Ctrl] + [8] keys.
- The journal opens. Click on the "New journal entry" button in the top left.
- First click on the "Start timing" button to log the duration.
- Enter a subject and company name above. The most important thing is now done.
- You can place all of your notes below. When the call is over, click on the "Stop timer" button at the top.
- You can then save and close the note or forward it directly if you wish.
