Telegram: Use the Messenger app on the Blackberry - so it'll work
The messenger app Telegram is currently only available for iOS and Android. We'll show you how to use the app on Blackberry anyway.
Install with Trick Telgram on Blackberry
Since the Blackberry OS 10.2.1 update, you can also install Android apps on your Blackberry. However, since you do not have access to the Google Play Store, you have to install the app via minor detours. However, you must have a Google account and be registered in the Play Store.
- Install the Google Chrome extension "APK Downloader" on your PC. With this you can download apps as APK files from your PC in the Play Store.
- Download the current version of "Telegram" as an APK file with the extension.
- Transfer the APK file to your Blackberry using a USB cable or Bluetooth.
- Before installing, you must specify on your Blackberry that applications with unknown origins can also be installed.
- Open the settings and open the App Manager. Here you will find the "Install apps" option. Activate the option "Allow installation of apps from other sources" in the submenu.
- You can now install the app and use "Telegram" on your Blackberry.
Note that not every Android app will work properly on your Blackberry. However, there were no problems in our test.
- Unfortunately, you also cannot limit the permissions as usual for the Android apps.
The great thing about the messenger app: You can use so-called "secret chats" in Telegram.
