Telekom: Suddenly no reception - what to do?
If you no longer have a single reception bar in the Telekom network, this is either due to Telekom itself or to your cell phone. We'll show you how to solve the problem.
No reception with telecom network
- The website AlleSt Stör.de collects the latest reports on network problems at Telekom. If you are not the only one affected, you will find hundreds or even thousands of other messages here. In the comment function, many users also write where the failures happened.
- If the problem is far-reaching, you can only wait. In most cases, the network problems resolve after a few minutes or hours.
- If you are apparently the only one who is no longer available, you can contact Telekom customer service. Before doing so, read the tips in the next paragraph that solve most problems directly.
Smartphone: No reception in the telecom network
- Airplane mode: Put your smartphone in Airplane mode and exit it again. This starts the search for the network again.
- Reboot: If the error is on your cell phone, a restart will help. Simply switch the device on and off again.
- SIM card: Remove the SIM card and carefully clean the contacts with a microfiber cloth or a slightly damp finger.
