Rotate text in OpenOffice
You can also rotate text in the free OpenOffice tool. This is useful, for example, if you want to create tear-off sheets with phone numbers. We show you how it works.
OpenOffice: Rotate text - how it works
To rotate text in the Writer, for example, do the following:
- Under "View" -> "Toolbars" activate the item "Draw". You can also follow all the steps in the picture gallery below.
- Now a horizontal bar appears under your text field, on which you will also find a capital "T". Click on it and create a text field.
- Fill in the text box as you wish. You can now freely rotate the text field by clicking on the "rotate symbol" in the bar above it.
- If you want to adjust your text more precisely, right-click on the text field and click on "Position and Size". Then select the "Rotation" tab. Here you can either specify a rotation in 15 degree steps or type in an exact value to the left of it.
Already knew? With OpenOffice you can also crop an image.
