Create text modules in Word
Word blocks cleverly avoid the tedious typing of identical sections or sentences in Word. With a simple key combination, the sentence blocks can be called up again and again and quickly inserted into the text.
Create text modules in Word
- First you have to hold down the mouse button and mark the text passage to be saved as a text module so that it appears with a blue background.
- Now press the key combination [Alt] + [F3] at the same time, so that the "Create new block" dialog box opens. (see screenshot)
- Here you can now enter the name of the block and optionally add a category or description.
- Then click "OK" to save the text module.
Manage text modules in Word
- To enter an abbreviation for your text module, for example, you must go to the "Quick modules" button and select "Organizer for modules ...". (see screenshot)
- Here you can now search for your "Chip Practical Tip" module, select it and click on the "Edit Properties ..." button at the bottom left.
- Now a dialog box opens and you can make the abbreviation "CP" in the "Name" line, for example from "Practical chip tip". This then makes it easier for you to insert the block in your text.
Call and insert saved block blocks
- To insert your saved block into the text, you only have to enter the abbreviation, for example "CP", of the text block and then press the [F3] key.
- The complete block is automatically inserted.
