Edit texts in OpenOffice correction mode
To proofread a text before publication, you can use the "proofreading mode" in OpenOffice Writer: The original document is not changed, only the changes and comments are highlighted in yellow. The author then sees at a glance where you have suggested corrections.
OpenOffice correction mode - this is how you edit texts
You activate the correction mode with the so-called "Record" function:
- On the "Edit" menu, click "Changes" and then select "Record".
- All changes are now documented: If you remove characters, they are not completely removed, but only crossed out and marked in yellow.
- Even when you add words, they are highlighted in color. In this way, the author immediately sees which text passages you would change.
- To deactivate this function, proceed as in step 1.
