Change text size in Windows 8 - Here's how
Changing the text size in Windows 8 is especially helpful on very small screens or high-resolution monitors. In this practical tip we will show you how this works.
Change text size in Windows 8
In Windows 8, like in other versions of Windows, you can increase the text size and GUI elements:
- Open the Control Panel and navigate to "Appearance and Personalization"> "Display".
- Here you can first enlarge all GUI elements (windows, frames, menu bars, ...). Simply select a multiplier and click on "Apply". After logging out and logging in, the setting is applied.
- You can also change the text size in various elements. To do this, select the element from the drop-down menu and choose a different font size. However, you can only change the font size in Windows elements here. Windows 8 apps or, for example, the font size in documents are not changed.
- After adjusting the settings, click "Apply" and sign out and back in to activate the settings.
If you have problems tracking the mouse in Windows 8, you can activate a "mouse track". This helps to not lose the mouse pointer on the screen.
