If you want to connect your Thermomix to the WLAN, you need the new Cook-Key. We'll show you what the Cook Key can do and how to set up an Internet connection.
Cook-Key: Thermomix gets WiFi
- The Thermomix cannot connect to the Internet by itself. Recipes can only be transferred using the paid recipe keys.
- The new cook key now enables permanent access to the recipe collection from Vorwerk. The device is currently still available for 99 euros, from 2017 129 euros are due.
- All other information can be found in the following CHIP article on the Vorwerk cook key.
Connect Thermomix to the WLAN
To use the Cook Key, you have to register with Vorwerk. If you already have an account, you can log in directly to Cookidoo.de. If this is not the case, click on the "Register for free" button.
- First you have to activate the cook key. This works just like the recipe chip activation. You will find the number on the back of the Cook key.
- Then hang the cook key on your Thermomix like a recipe chip and wait a moment. You will then be offered an update. Confirm the process.
- Then click through the instructions to return to the main menu. Tap on the newly displayed symbol for the cook key in the top right corner.
- You can now set up the WLAN here. After searching, select the correct WiFi network and enter your password. Then the Thermomix connects to the WLAN and loads your recipes.
